Drag event at Shepherd University raises money for LGBTQ organization

The Shepherd University Program Board and GSA presented a drag show benefit for Hagerstown Hopes at the Storer Ballroom in the Student Center in Shepherdstown, W. Va. on Saturday, April 1. Performers included Ashley Bannks, Alexa V. Shontelle, Maranda Rights, Ivanna Rights, Chasity Vain, Bayley, Dezi Minaj, Nicole James and Remington Steele.

The Cherry Weekend main event party was “Fire” at Betty (1235 W Street, N.E.) on Saturday, April 12. Detox of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” met with fans.

The Mr., Mx, & Miss Capital Pride Pageant was held at The Schuyler at The Hamilton Hotel on Thursday, April 3. Sirène Noir Sidora Jackson won the title of Mx Capital Pride 2025. Jackson B. Nite won the title of Mr. Capital Pride 2025. Shelita Ramen won the title of Miss Capital Pride 2025.
