SiriusXM shuts down its gay channel

SiriusXM is shutting down SiriusXM OutQ, its LGBT channel, after 12 years on the air.

According to OUT Magazine, Frank DeCaro and “Morning Jolt” co-host Keith Price have been let go. Price’s co-host Larry Flick will be moving to SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Channel.

OUT also reports that Lance Bass’s radio show “Dirty Pop” has also been cancelled. The show aired on SiriusXM OutQ and Andy Cohen’s station Radio Andy.

Sirius XM OutQ’s satellite service will be discontinued on Saturday, Feb. 13 and from streaming on Thursday, Feb. 18.

The Wanda Alston Foundation held its Fall Reception at the Penthouse Rooftop at The Wharf on Friday, Sept. 18. Honorees included D.C. Councilmember Robert White, Director of the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs Japer Bowles, and the Washington Capitals. Rayceen Pendarvis served as the emcee and entertainment was provided by the Thomas Circle Singers.
