Pork Chop wins Atlantic City pageant
The 2013 Miss’d America pageant was held at the House of Blues in the Showboat Casino Hotel of Atlantic City on Sept. 21. Local D.C. drag performer Shi-Queeta Lee vied for the crown, but was bested by Victoria ‘Pork Chop’ Parker of ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race’ fame.

Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
