Capital Pride held its annual Pride Heroes and Engendered Spirits Awards Gala at the Carnegie Library on Wednesday. Honorees included former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, Kaprice Williams, Bishop Gene Robinson, Alexandra Ernst, Bobbi Elaine Strang, Paul Kawata, Justin Markiewicz, Heather Mizeur, Holly Goldman and Whitman-Walker Health. Singer/songwriter Steve Grand entertained the audience with a set following the awards ceremony.
