Different Drummers holds weekend concert

D.C.’s Different Drummers’ Capital Pride Symphonic Band and Capitol Pride Winds will be in concert on Saturday at the Columbia Heights Education Campus Auditorium (3101 16th St., N.W.) at 7:30 p.m.

The program will be kicked off with a commission medley by Matthew Leonhardt and continues with selections such as “The Sound of Music,” “Hobbits from The Lord of the Rings,” “Godzilla Eats Las Vegas” and more.

The bands will be joined by K. Scott Baker, guest conductor and artistic director.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. They can be purchased online at dcdd.org with an added service fee or from any DCDD band member.
