The Westminster-Carroll County chapter of PFLAG will discuss the topic of welcoming schools at its monthly meeting on Oct. 20. Kisha L. Webster, a professional educator and youth advocate, will be the main speaker.

Webster serves as director of Education and Community Engagement for Welcoming Schools, a program of the Human Rights Campaign that “offers tools, lessons and resources on embracing family diversity, avoiding gender role stereotyping and ending bullying and name-calling.”  She has facilitated numerous discussions and trainings on inclusive learning communities at public and private universities throughout the country.

The meeting will take place at 5 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ on the corner of Bond & Green streets, Westminster, Md. All meetings are free, confidential and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, visit pflagwcc.org.
