Night OUT at the Kastles

Team D.C. event brings fans to Washington’s tennis center

Team D.C., a charity organization that promotes local LGBT involvement in sports, hosts “Night OUT at the Kastles” on Monday evening at the Kastles Stadium at The Wharf (800 Water St., S.W.) at 7 p.m.

The Night OUT Series began in 2011 with Night OUT at the Nationals, but has now expanded to include other local professional sporting events.

The tennis match on Monday is between the D.C. Kastles and Philadelphia Freedom. Both teams are part of the World Team Tennis organization.

The Wanda Alston Foundation held its Fall Reception at the Penthouse Rooftop at The Wharf on Friday, Sept. 18. Honorees included D.C. Councilmember Robert White, Director of the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs Japer Bowles, and the Washington Capitals. Rayceen Pendarvis served as the emcee and entertainment was provided by the Thomas Circle Singers.
