Sting’s daughter in same-sex relationship
Rocker’s child identifies only ‘as a musician’
Sting’s daughter Eliot Sumner revealed she is in a relationship with a woman.
Sumner, 25, told the Evening Standard that she has been dating Austrian model Lucie Von Alten for two years. The couple also live together in London.
She says that she never came out to her family and friends because they knew without having to ask.
“They knew already,” Sumner says. “So I didn’t need to. I’ve never come out to anyone. My friends always knew and I always knew.”
Sumner also revealed that she does not identify as a particular gender. She says that she identifies “as a musician.”
“I think forever I was trying to figure out maybe … what I am. But I don’t think anyone should feel pressured to have any kind of label or tag on them,” Sumner says.“We should treat everybody the same. Me, I don’t like to be put down to a specific thing. We’re all human beings.”
The singer is the third child of Sting and Trudie Styler. Her album “Information” will be released in January.
