Louis Tomlinson blasted a report that stated one reason British boy band One Direction split up was because of gay rumors swirling around him and fellow bandmate Harry Styles.

British publication the Mirror published a report investigating what led to the demise of One Direction in 2016. The article lists drug use, bandmate rivalry and Larry Stylinson fanfiction as reasons for the break up.

Larry Stylinson was the “ship” name fans gave Tomlinson, 27, and Styles, 25, who at one time displayed a close friendship.

“Louis, in particular, was extremely sensitive about the claims and admitted the speculation about their sexuality ‘created an atmosphere,” the article reads.

Tomlinson told the Sun in 2017 that the rumors made it hard to maintain a friendship with Styles.

“It created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did,” Tomlinson said. “It took away the vibe you get off anyone. It made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable.”

Tomlinson commented on the Mirror’s article tweeting, “Biggest load of bullsh*t I’ve seen in a while. Typical unprovoked venom from The Mirror. Couldn’t be further from the truth!”

Tomlinson also spoke out about an animated Larry Stylinson sex scene that appeared on the HBO series, “Euphoria.”

“I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it,” Tomlinson tweeted about the scene.
