The Sapphire Sapphos: 40 Years Later, a retelling of the history of the group’s history, is Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 

Founded in 1979, the group became D.C.’s “first ongoing political, social, and cultural group” for black lesbians. Admission is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
