LGBT artists featured in Craft2Wear show
Clothing, jewelry and accessories to be featured for men and women

Several LGBT artists feature their work at the Smithsonian’s Craft2Wear show at the National Building Museum (401 F St., N.W.) this weekend.
Randy Darwall, Brian Murphy, Ignatius Creegan, Rod Givens, Jeff Weiss and other artists present a show and sale of “wearable art.” Clothing, jewelry and accessories for men and women are displayed by 50 exhibitors. The “Advance Chance Party” is tonight from 6-9 p.m. and offers first choice shopping, wine and hors d’oeuvres and music. The exhibit is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Tickets to the advance chance party are $50. Admission to the exhibits is $5 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets visit craft2wear.smithsonian.org or call 888-832-9554.
Equality Prince William Pride was held at the Harris Pavilion in Manassas, Va. on Saturday, May 16.

Ashley Biden accepts award for Beau Biden at annual Rehoboth fundraiser
The 19th annual Blade Foundation Summer Kickoff Party was held on Friday, May 15 at Diego’s in Rehoboth Beach, Del. An award presentation was held for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Ashley Biden accepted the award on her brother’s behalf and gave remarks. Other speakers included Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, CAMP Rehoboth Executive Director Dr. Robin Brennan and Washington Blade Editor Kevin Naff. The event was a fundraiser for the Steve Elkins Memorial Fellowship in Journalism.
