Friday, July 10

The Hillwood Estate and Gardens has fully reopened with limited capacity to enforce social distancing. Visitors are required to make separate timed-entry reservations ahead of time. Open Tuesday to Sunday. Prices vary from $5-$18 and ages 5 and younger enter free. Details at hillwoodmuseum.org/visit

Saturday, July 11

LGBTQ dance party Flashy Home Edition is back to host a livestream tonight from 9:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m., hosted by DC9. DJs TWiN and Sean Morris will spin. The event is free. Details at facebook.com/flashyDC.

Dark and Stormy is also hosting a free livestream tonight from 9:30 p.m.-2 a.m., a dance party from the promoter and DJ Shea Van Horn featuring current Washington resident DJs Kangal and Mindjacket. Sunday, July 12

The DC Area Transmasculine Society and is hosting their monthly transmasculine support group at 5 p.m. today. This month’s topic is on “passing” and cisgender assumptions. These meetings are open to those who are assigned female at birth but believe this is an inaccurate or incomplete description of themselves, including trans men, non-binary, genderqueer or other identities. Monday, July 13

The Whitman-Walker Community Volunteer Nights are tonight and every second Saturday of the month from 6-8 p.m. Volunteers will assemble STI self-testing kits for the free, walk-in testing services the center provides. More details available on their Facebook page.

Tuesday, July 14

The DC Center is hosting a trans support group via Zoom tonight from 7-9 p.m., and every second Tuesday and fourth Friday of the month. This group is intended to provide an emotionally and physically safe space for trans people and those who may be questioning their gender identity/expression to join together in the community and learn from one another. All who are trans or unsure are welcome.

Wednesday, July 15

The Morris Cafritz Center for Social Responsibility and the Kurlander Program for GLBTQ Outreach & Engagement are hosting a virtual and story-sharing event on the creators of Casa Ruby tonight from 7-8:30 p.m. Ruby Corado, Holly Goldmann, and Consuella Lopez, who lead the LGBTQ youth center, will share their life stories. This event is free, and details are on their Facebook page.

Thursday, July 16

The Glenstone Museum outdoor sections are now open today and Thursday to Sunday weekly from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Advance reservations required, and tickets released are released two weeks in advance on Mondays at 10 a.m. Visits are limited to groups of five people.

Berkshire Choral to commemorate Matthew Shepard’s life

Berkshire Choral International will present a concert performance of composer Craig Hella Johnson’s fusion oratorio “Considering Matthew Shepard” on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington National Cathedral. 

The program will be guest conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Benson, a native of the DMV who currently serves as Director of Choral Activities at San José State University. The concert is a partial benefit for the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Notably, Matthew’s remains are interred at the National Cathedral and his parents, Dennis and Judy, will give opening remarks at the performance.

Tickets are $20 – $65, and 50% of ticket proceeds will be donated to the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Tickets are only available online at berkshirechoral.org

“Center Aging Monthly Luncheon and Bingo” will be at 2 p.m. in person at the DC Center for the LGBT Community’s new location at 1827 Wiltberger St., N.W. This is a social hour for older LGBTQ+ adults. Guests are encouraged to bring a beverage of choice. For more details, email [email protected]

Go Gay DC will host “LGBTQ+ Community Pride Month Happy Hour” at 7 p.m. at Dupont Italian Kitchen. This event is ideal for making new friends, professional networking, idea-sharing, and community building. This event is free and more details are available on Eventbrite

Saturday, June 27

Go Gay DC will host “LGBTQ+ Community Pride Month Brunch” at 11 a.m. at Freddie’s Beach Bar & Restaurant. This fun weekly event brings the DMV area LGBTQ+ community, including Allies, together for delicious food and conversation. Attendance is free and more details are available on Eventbrite.

Art Roving will host “Where Color Meets Spectrum: Blackness, Queerness & Tomorrow” at 200 I St., S.E. This is a panel discussion with Queer Art salon artists Nikki Brooks, Maps Glover & Chrys Seawood, moderated by artist and curator Brittany Mona’. The Queer Art Salon exhibition is on view from June 13 – August 1, 2025 and funded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities’ Art Exhibition Grant program. Baby Shank Rooftop Bar and Lounge will host “DC Drag brunch on Rooftop – Penthouse” at 12 p.m. Guests can enjoy delicious French cuisine. The event will be hosted by Miss Capital Pride. Tickets cost $30.65 and are available on Eventbrite

Jonathan Van Ness will host a masterclass at 10 a.m. at Dupont Circle Hotel. Enjoy refreshments and community as Jonathan showcases styling techniques for a range of hair types—helping you create a gallery-worthy look that’s truly, beautifully yours. Job Club will be at 6 p.m. on Zoom. The DC Center’s Fresh Produce Program will be held all day at the DC Center for the LGBT Community. People will be informed on Wednesday at 5 p.m. if they are picked to receive a produce box. Baltimore Orioles Pride Night set for June 25

First 15,000 fans to receive jersey

Baltimore Orioles Pride Night will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at 6:35 p.m. at Orioles Park at Camden Yards. 

Festivities include immersive Pride decorations, pregame music, crafts, face painting, Pride merchandise, and more. The first 15,000 fans will receive an Orioles Pride jersey. Tickets are available on the Orioles’ website
