D.C. welcomes new gay bar The Dirty Goose

A fresh face is appearing on the District’s gay nightlife scene.
The Dirty Goose (913 U St., N.W.) has its grand opening on Thursday with festivities continuing into the weekend.
On Thursday DJ Matt Bailer will spin tracks. DJ Shea Van Horn stops by on Friday to play music. On Saturday, BreakfastClub’s DJ Khelan will keep the party going.
Saturday and Sunday there will be a bottomless brunch from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Reservations and walk-ins are accepted. Brunch is $38 and includes bottomless mimosas, rose mimosas and bloody marys. Food options are a spring vegetable omelet, eggs benedict, TDG burger and more.
The Dirty Goose offers signature cocktails such as a Godiva chocolate martini and a strawberry mimosa martini. Patrons can also enjoy dinner at the new establishment.

The DC Black Pride Opening Reception was held at the Westin DC Downtown on Friday, May 22. Grammy Award-winning artist Durand Bernarr was the headline performer. Comedian Anthony Oakes was the host. Speakers included Human Rights Campaign President Kelley Robinson and Center For Black Equity President Kenya Hutton, as well as speakers from health organizations and sponsors. The event featured performances from Billy the Goat, Jay Columbus, Akeem Woods, Rue Pratt, Be Steadwell and Bennu Byrd.
