EQUALITY NoVa hosts town hall

EQUALITY NoVa will host a town hall on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 1 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
The purpose of this town hall is to gather community input on the organizationās name, mission, and activities and to gather ideas from the community on how EQUALITY NoVa can best serve the LGBTQ community.
EQUALITY NoVa was founded in 1981 as the Arlington Chapter of the Virginia Gay Alliance later becoming the Northern Virginia Gay Alliance, and then the Arlington Gay & Lesbian Alliance now operating as EQUALITY NoVa. The organization is the longest continuously operating LGBTQ organization in the Commonwealth and its mission is to provide safe social events, community service projects, and nonpartisan political awareness.

CAMP Rehobothās final concert of the season is almost here
Chorus performs ‘Music of the Night’

CAMP Rehoboth Chorus will perform āMusic of the Nightā on Friday, Sept. 29 and Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 1 at 3 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church.
The chorus will sing more than 36 song selections, including āFly Me to the Moon,ā āI Couldāve Danced All Nightā and āIn the Still of the Nite.ā
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased on CAMP Rehobothās website.

‘Building Space & Amplifying Voices’ event held at AT&T Forum

āLGBTQ+ in STEAM: Building Space & Amplifying Voicesā will be on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. at AT&T Forum.
This event will celebrate and empower LGBTQ individuals in the science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics fields. There will be a diverse range of speakers who will share their experiences and insights on how to create more inclusive spaces and amplify LGBTQ voices in the STEAM industry.

This group is intended to provide an emotionally and physically safe space for trans people and those who may be questioning their gender identity or expression to join together in community and learn from one another. Go Gay DC will host āLGBTQ+ Brunchā at 11 a.m. at Freddieās Beach Bar & Restaurant. Guests are encouraged to come enjoy brunch with other LGBTQ folk. Admission is free and more details are available on Eventbrite.
Black Lesbian Support Group will be at 11 a.m. on Zoom. This is a support group devoted to the joys and challenges of being a Black lesbian. For more details, email [email protected].Ā

Go Gay DC will host āLGBTQ+ Coffee & Conversationā at 12 p.m. at As You Are. This event is ideal for those looking to make new friends & connections in the DMV’s LGBTQ community. Admission is free and more details are available on Eventbrite.
AfroCode DC will be at 4 p.m. at Decades DC. This event will be an experience of non-stop music, dancing, and good vibes and a crossover of genres and a fusion of cultures. Tickets cost $40 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Genderqueer DC will be at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is a support group for people who identify outside the gender binary, whether bigender, agender, gender fluid, or just know that youāre not 100% cis. For more details, visit genderqueerdc.org.Ā

Job Club will be at 6 p.m. on Zoom. Virtual Yoga Class with Jesse Z. will be at 12 p.m. online. This is a weekly class focusing on yoga, breath work, and meditation.
