Performer Patti LuPone accepts the 2012 Stephen Sondheim Award.

Signature Theatre’s annual Stephen Sondheim Awards Gala was held at the Italian Embassy on Monday. This year’s award was presented to legendary performer Patti LuPone. Gabriel Mangiante was honored as well with the Young Artist Citation. Performers at the gala included Laura Benanti, Natascia Diaz, Howard McGillin and Joseph Thalken.
