Our marriages explored in exhibition

The Fridge (516 12 8th St., SE) hosts local artist Lisa Marie Thalhammer in her first solo show since 2007 called “Intimate Network.” She will give an artist talk and live mural painting Saturday at noon.
The subjects of Thalhammer’s work are people from her personal life, family and friends in the LGBT community. The art asserts ideas about civil rights, marriage and equality. For the series she used rainbow palettes in large oil and pastel rich portraits. The artist is a lesbian. The show continues through Feb. 24.
