Beyonce reunites with Destiny’s Child cohorts
Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland join solo singer at Super Bowl

Beyonce was joined by her old Destiny’s Child group mates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in a move that, for many gay men, was undoubtedly the highlight of the evening.
Beyonce sang “Love On Top,” “Crazy in Love,” “End of Time” and “Baby Boy” alone, then Williams and Rowland joined her for “Bootylicious,” “Independent Women” and the Beyonce solo hit “Single Ladies.” Beyonce closed her set with “Halo.”

The Wanda Alston Foundation held its Fall Reception at the Penthouse Rooftop at The Wharf on Friday, Sept. 18. Honorees included D.C. Councilmember Robert White, Director of the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs Japer Bowles, and the Washington Capitals. Rayceen Pendarvis served as the emcee and entertainment was provided by the Thomas Circle Singers.
