Gay Day at Hillwood is Saturday
Enjoy a family pancake breakfast, performances, dancing and more

Hillwood Estate, Museums and Gardens (4155 Linnean Ave., N.W.) hosts “Gay Day” Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with a special director’s reception from 5-7 p.m.
Enjoy a family pancake breakfast with Rainbow Families D.C. from 10 a.m.-noon with picture frame decorating, games, dress up and face painting. In the afternoon there will be performances by the a capella group Not What You Think and square dancing by the D.C. Lambda Squares. The Straight Eights Car Club will present a classic American car display. Visitors are also invited to view the exhibition “Living Artfully: At Home with Majorie Merriweather Post.”
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for seniors and $10 for Hillwood members and college students. There is no fee for children under 18. For more information, visit hillwoodmuseum.org or call 202-686-5807.

The Opening Reception for the 34th annual D.C. Black Pride was held at the Capital Hilton on Friday, May 23. Presenters, speakers and entertainers included Ts Madison, Monroe Alise, Billy the Goat, Kerri Colby, Apple Brown Betty, Heather Mahogani, Lyrical Mar, Lolita Leopard, Ink, and Bang Garçon. Queer film festival comes to D.C.
DC/DOX to showcase LGBTQ documentaries made by LGBTQ filmmakers

DC/DOX will host a film festival beginning on Thursday, June 12, at the Regal Gallery Place, Eaton Cinema, and the U.S. Navy Memorial Burke Theatre.
This festival will premier LGBTQ documentaries made by LGBTQ filmmakers. Each screening will be followed by in-person Q&As with the filmmakers.
