Todrick Hall and latest “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Bob The Drag Queen teamed up for the “Wizard of Oz” inspired video “Wrong Bitch.”
In the video, the Wicked Witch of the West fights for her “green people” as they struggle against police brutality. Hall gets some help from Bob The Drag Queen as they sing to let the police know they “got the wrong bitch.”
“Wrong Bitch” is part of Hall’s hour-long visual album “Straight Outta Oz.” The story follows the openly gay entertainer from his humble beginnings in Texas to his big move to Los Angeles.
“This past year has been very rough for me. I lost my MTV show, struggled with the relationship with my mother, dealing with racism and homophobia in the industry and self image was such a struggle. I put my all into auditioning for NBC’s ‘The Wiz’ and got so close to landing the role of the Scarecrow, but didn’t get it,” Hall wrote on his YouTube page about the project. “I want to thank my family, friends and fans for helping me out of this dark place and encouraging me to turn my struggle into art. ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ has always held a special place in my heart, and I have never been more proud of anything I’ve created.”
