Join the Washington Blade and District Fray Magazine on the ice for the only LGBTQ Skate Night in town on Friday, February 11th at The Wharf.
You’re invited to glide over to celebrate the release of Washington Blade’s highly anticipated seventh annual “Most Eligible LGBT Singles” issue.
Come mix and mingle with others in the community. If you’re a couple, then let’s make it a date, and if you’re single, who knows, you might just meet your Valentine.
Additionally, we’re offering skate rentals for 1/2 the regular price from 6-8PM. So finish your evening drink and then meet us at the rink.It’s going to be a great time!
The Wharf Ice Rink is located at 970 Wharf Street SW, Washington, DC 20024 on Transit Pier at The Wharf. Purchase admission and rent skates at the Skate Shop, located on Transit Pier next to the Water Taxi ticket office.
Equality Prince William Pride was held at the Harris Pavilion in Manassas, Va. on Saturday, May 16.

Ashley Biden accepts award for Beau Biden at annual Rehoboth fundraiser
The 19th annual Blade Foundation Summer Kickoff Party was held on Friday, May 15 at Diego’s in Rehoboth Beach, Del. An award presentation was held for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Ashley Biden accepted the award on her brother’s behalf and gave remarks. Other speakers included Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, CAMP Rehoboth Executive Director Dr. Robin Brennan and Washington Blade Editor Kevin Naff. The event was a fundraiser for the Steve Elkins Memorial Fellowship in Journalism.
