The New Wave Singers of Baltimore concludes its concert season on June 7 with a benefit concert titled “The Road Traveled.” It will take place at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (1900 St. Paul St. in Baltimore) at 7 p.m.
Fifty percent of ticket sales from the performance of “The Road Traveled” will support Moveable Feast (mfeast.org), which brings food, hope and dignity to people suffering from HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and other debilitating illnesses. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at newwavesingers.org or at the door.
Founded in 1985, The New Wave Singers of Baltimore is Maryland’s only gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and straight chorus.
The New Wave Singers’ presence has been evident over the years in “the outreach we do, both to LGBT organizations and other places where we put a face on our community,” said Scott King, a spokesman for the group.
Equality Prince William Pride was held at the Harris Pavilion in Manassas, Va. on Saturday, May 16.
