Over $75,000 given to LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS organizations
Brother, Help Thyself rebranded its name ‘BHT Foundation’ at its annual grant ceremony at the D.C. Eagle on Saturday. BHT gave out $71,500 in grants to local LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS organizations. Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
