Adam Lambert joins ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’
American Idol alum will portray Eddie
Adam Lambert has been added to”The Rocky Horror Picture Show” cast in the FOX reboot of the film.
Lambert will play Eddie, played by Meatloaf in the original film, the “rock-n-roll loving, ex-delivery boy, who emerges at Dr. Frank-N-Furter’s on a motorcycle and crashes the party,” FOX announced.
“I grew up watching ‘Rocky Horror,’ but could never imagine that I would be part of this new vision. Rocky Horror always made me feel like it was okay to celebrate my weirdness. Hallelujah, bless my soul! I love that old time rock-n-roll,” Lambert says in a statement on FOX’s website.
The Hollywood Reporter says Lambert was originally considered for the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter but the part was ultimately given to Laverne Cox.
In addition to Cox, Lambert joins Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Reeve Carney and Staz Nair in the remake.
